A chipped or broken tooth from an accident or injury can be a distressing experience. It’s crucial to see a dentist right away, even for minor chips. If a tooth (or teeth) has been knocked out, immediate dental attention is even more critical, as there’s a chance of successful re-implantation depending on the injury’s severity.
If a tooth is knocked out, keep it clean and avoid touching the root. In some cases, you may be able to gently place the tooth back into its socket and bite down on a clean paper towel for 15-20 minutes.
For chipped teeth, we may be able to smooth the edge and restore the missing portion with a tooth-colored filling. A broken molar might require a crown.
We’re here to help you heal quickly and effectively, minimizing the risk of future dental problems. Contact us immediately if you’ve experienced a dental injury.
Dental emergencies, from toothaches and lost fillings to broken crowns, chipped teeth, abscesses, trauma, avulsed teeth, and facial swelling, require prompt attention. At our practice, we prioritize same-day emergency care whenever possible.
For urgent dental needs, please call All Smiles Dental at 020 8460 1065 as early as possible, ideally in the morning, to secure a same-day appointment. During your emergency visit, we’ll conduct a thorough examination to diagnose the cause of your discomfort, explain your treatment options clearly, and provide a detailed breakdown of costs. Booking an emergency appointment ensures you’ll be seen within a few hours of your scheduled time.
For dental emergencies outside of our regular hours, including Sundays, All Smiles Dental provides a 24/7 on-call service. Contact our emergency line at 020 3823 6421 to speak directly with our on-call dentist who can arrange to see you.
